Contact

The Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario (OHAO) represents occupational hygienists and other people interested in health and safety. While the activities of the Association are primarily within Ontario , membership is not limited to those within the province.

Through OHAO, members communicate with each other on a regular basis to increase awareness and learning.

The Association is involved in numerous workshops, seminars and conferences throughout the year. OHAO also co-sponsors conferences and symposia on occupational health topics with other groups with an interest in health and safety. In addition, OHAO schedules an annual vendor exhibition of equipment and related services to ensure members are fully aware of latest developments.

The OHAO newsletter The OH Forum, mailed quarterly to all members, contains current information on occupational hygiene issues along with a list of workshops, seminars, conferences, and Association activities.

Members represent the Association on advisory boards and standard setting bodies.

OHAO also promotes occupational hygiene through its awards programs.

Subject Matter Expert Volunteers

From time-to-time, the OHAO may be requested to comment on proposed standards and regulatory changes that quite often have a very short response time. To better prepare the OHAO to make scientifically valid and measured responses, the Board of Directors would like to develop a list of subject matter experts that it could draw from to assist in the preparation of submissions on behalf of the OHAO.

If you have formal education and/or extensive experience that may contribute to a position paper on an occupational hygiene issue, please forward your name, area of expertise and most current contact information to the OHAO office..
